Take your family out to the ball game (ongoing)
Let's face it the Leafs and Raptors are not so great..the Jays are awesome. Why not head out to the ballpark to cheer for the home team. Jr. Jays Saturdays are a great way to introduce your kids to baseball, with activities in the Jr. Jays Zones...you have to check this out.
Head to the Evergreen Brickworks
There are a couple of awesome events taking place this month...Earth Day and reading & book signing with Barbara Reid. Earth Day will be filled with all sorts of activities for kids of all ages. And, Barbara Reid is a world renowned author & illustrator of classic children's books like "Picture a Tree" and "Read me a Story."
Plant some seeds
It's that time of the year. If you aren't sure how to get started check out this tutorial on planting seeds in egg cartons. We started ours a week ago and they are sprouting and will be ready to plant in the garden next month!

Get ready to clean your shoreline
Last year our family volunteered to clean up our shoreline and this year we plan to do it again. The event takes place across Canada in May. Check our Great Canadian Shoreline Clean-up site for more details.
Do some spring cleaning
On Saturday April 22st (9am-3pm) the Neighbourhood Unitarian Church at 79 Hiawatha Rd, Toronto, will be accepting your old electronics. Old TVs, radios, VCRs, printers, if it has a cord they will take it. In partnership with the Ontario Electronic Stewardship this Church will be recycling your e-waste.
