3 Simple Recipes for Homemade Iced Tea
3 Starbuck's "Refresh" tea bags - or your favourite minty herbal tea
mint sprig for garnish
Steep the tea bags, in a heat proof container, in 3 cups of boiling water for 10-15 minutes
Remove the tea bags and let the tea cool on the counter or in the fridge for a few minutes
Pour the cooled tea into a tall glass over ice
I used my large Pyrex glass measuring cup to steep the hot tea in, it is helpful because it is heatproof and has a pouring spout. If you prefer a sweetened tea, add a teaspoon of honey to any of the teas. Be sure to add the honey when the water is hot, so it totally dissolves. The honey will melt into your tea - taste and add more if you wish.
Do you love sweetened iced tea or unsweetened iced tea? Or are you more a fan of lemonade?
