Ingredients

  • a bunch of chard rainbow chard or kale (about 10 ounces)
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions

  • The first step is to cut out any thick stalks, thin stalks will cook easily and evenly.
  • Next up, combine the oil and salt and pepper in a large bowl. Toss the kale leaves in the oil. You want to coat each leaf with olive oil and salt and pepper.
  • Head to the grill. You are looking for medium heat. Place the leaves directly on the grill. No need to oil the grill, the leaves will cook very quickly.
  • Turn leaves after about 1 minute, until they are wilted and charred. Don't take your eye off the chard...it's going to grill quickly.
